What provides effective pain relief for arthritis? |
|||||
Question:
Answer: Try walking, along with light weight training and/or yoga. Also, try taking a chewable calcium tablet along with ibuprofen for pain relief. Many people don't realize that simple ibuprofen can do so much for arthritis pain. I had big painkiller speech with members of my extended family at Christmas. They don't understand why tylenol doesn't help arthritis pain or cramps. I had to print out a bunch of stuff about pain relievers. They were more afraid of ibuprofen than tylenol. I avoid taking Vicodin. But there are people who live with just arthritis, who are best served by exercise of some kind, yet some refuse to take even ibuprofen when they are in pain. But they'll take a Tylenol, which doesn't even address that type of pain. I don't know why ibuprofen has such a bad rap. |
